Hello again! With the deadlines fast approaching for Early Decision, I'm sure many of you have already stepped on campus to admire our beautiful dorms. College Prowler has given us an "A" and I have included their description below. Then I'll tell you about my experience!!
"GW’s dorms are definitely some of the sweetest in the country—the majority of them are converted apartment buildings and hotels, or recently-built facilities. About half of the freshman class will live in Thurston Hall, GW’s largest dorm. Because of its reputation as a party dorm, most students who live in Thurston either love it or hate it—but most love every minute of it."

Thurston in all its glory |
I began my college experience in the typical college dorm- Thurston. I was in a quad and found myself relatively happy even though there was cramped closet space and I had a top bunk. I wasn't going to complain- we shared our own bathroom and had a full fridge and microwave. I spent August through February in Thurston before I realized that it wasn't the best living situation for me. There were some roommate issues, but mostly I just wanted more space.
Through working with Housing, I moved out of Thurston a week after I decided to make the move into Madison Hall, across from the library. I moved to the 8th floor into a double with a full bathroom, but a tiny fridge. I wasn't going to complain. I enjoyed the rest of my freshman year thoroughly after the move and am so happy I made the switch!
